Thoughts to ponder: If Jesus came back right now, have we done all we can do to make sure those around us will be clothed in white?
All of the chaos becomes background noise. The blustery wind, the pummeling hail, and the pounding waves swirl around me, yet I do not feel any of it.
From there, I pondered the opponent I face every day… the one who whispers in my ear that I’m not good enough… the one who tells me I’ll never be enough...
This story is a grim illustration of the devil’s power and the battle with darkness that we are up against.
This prayer conveys a transparent, raw view of the Christian life, a lamb in need of a shepherd, a constant battle with an enemy stirring up the past and tossing our failures before us, a cry out to God, a longing to please our Creator… a child running into the arms of the Father.
So, my question to answer in this Bible study is 'Why would God allow His children to go through a hardship or suffer?'
Just as the prodigal son returned to a forgiving father with arms open wide, overcome with joy that his child was home, our Heavenly Father is waiting with loving hands to embrace us.
But Jesus willingly humbled Himself and was crucified as an innocent lamb… without blemish… without sin… WORTHY.
