When I Don’t Have the Words… GOD DOES.

When I Don’t Have the Words… GOD DOES.

When I don’t have the words… God does.

When I wake up in the morning, my eyes are dry and everything looks blurry. Close up or far away, it takes me a couple of minutes before I can see anything clearly. At times, it seems that the same concept is true with my clarity of thought. There is no earth-shattering decision to be made or particular cataclysmic event shaking my world. Yet, a fog hovers. I found myself in this zone the other night. Even though I couldn’t pinpoint the source of the weight or the reason for my distress, I couldn’t sleep. Not sure of what I needed, I just lay there and recited the words of Psalm 143:8 over and over… “Cause me to hear Thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in Thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto Thee” (KJV). After quite a number of recitations, I drifted off, and when I awoke in the morning, I thought of the power of God’s Word. Even when I didn’t know what I needed, He gave me the exact words to pray… a verse straight from His Word.

So… each morning…, every morning…, let us search God’s Word…, let us “…write them upon the table of thine heart” (Proverbs 3:3 KJV), let us say His Word aloud…, let us stand on His promises…, let us hold tight to His TRUTH…

Let us pray…

“Cause me to hear Thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in Thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto Thee.” Psalm 143:8 KJV
