In the beginning, they had it all. Every need supplied. A beautiful garden filled with plenty where they walked and talked with their Creator. But the enemy slithered in and hissed out his lies. They had a choice. They had been given free will to decide for themselves… and they chose the lies over the TRUTH. Then, they thought they could hide.
“And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.” Genesis 3:8 KJV
In the end, they had it all. A Savior had given His life so they could live in eternity with Him. He had taken their punishment, hanging from a cross by spikes driven through his hands and feet and with the weight of every person’s sins upon Him. The price had been paid. They only needed to accept His sacrifice, His gift of salvation. They had a choice. They could choose a Savior who loved them so much that he died for them. They could choose to walk and talk with their Father daily and never be alone. Or… they could choose to listen to the enemy’s lies. They could choose to live for their temporary world and turn away. Some chose to accept and follow their Savior. Some chose not to.
“And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:” Revelation 6:15-16 KJV
In the beginning, there was no hiding from God. And in the end, there will be no hiding from God. It is impossible to hide from God.
“Am I a God at hand, saith the Lord, or am I a God afar off? Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord.” Jeremiah 23:23-24 KJV
We are not forced to serve God, accept the gift of salvation, or love Him. We’ve been granted free will. We have a choice, and there is no middle ground. We are either all in or all out. Let us choose to follow Jesus, to accept His gift, to walk and talk with our Creator daily. Let us choose to never be alone but to live each day filled with His presence and spend forever with the One who loves us so much that He gave His life.
It’s our decision. Why wouldn’t we choose to go with our Lord? I choose Him. He is always with me. Thank you Lord!!
Thank you Farrah!!
